Sigma Xi Zeta Chapter

Sigma Xi Zeta Chapter Charter Members

Desiring to keep up with the sprawling growth of the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina five Sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated decided to include Zeta as part of the areas' growth.  On January 15, 2002 Sigma Xi Zeta Chapter was chartered and on May 2, 2002, the chapter held its public reception in Morrisville, North Carolina, the fastest growing town in Wake County.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is now making a difference in the heart of the Research Triangle Park.Life Member Esther Dunnegan, Rev Dr. Lola Fuller, Dr. Alice Garrett, Golden Life Member Bettye Murchison, and Life Member Myrtle Shepherd envisioned a chapter to connect chapters in the area and provide Sorors access to Zeta events and meetings with little travel.   They envisioned a chapter that would grow as the Town of Morrisville grew.  Together they chartered Sigma Xi Zeta Chapter and the chapter quickly filled that void and set a standard of growth for Zeta.
